Giving Hope Today
When you give to The Salvation Army, you are giving hope today by investing in the future of marginalized and overlooked people.
Please see below for the many ways that you can help us to help other.
Planning to Host a Food Drive
We welcome the support of local food drives, but ask that you please get in touch with us in advance, as our storage space is limited.
Coordinating donations helps us serve the community more effectively and efficiently.
We also ask that you request permission before using our logo on your food drive promotional material.
Donate by Cheque
Please make cheque payable to "The Salvation Army" and mail to:

Donate Food
We have very limited storage space so monetary donations are preferred over non-perishable food items to ensure that we always have a supply of fresh options like milk, eggs, and produce.
Bulk buying power also allows us to purchase the most in-demand items at discounted prices making your donor dollars go further and ensuring that these items are always available in our HOPE Market (food bank) for those we assist.
If you still prefer to purchase and donate non-perishable food items please get in touch with us first to ensure that we have space to receive and store your donation, and to find out what items are most needed.
We appreciate your support but ask that you do not purchase items such as soup, beans, tuna & Kraft dinner for donation as we often have an over-abundance of these items.
Please check dates on all items being donated to ensure they are not expired as it does cost us to dispose of stale-dated food.
Donate Clothing & Household Goods
We no longer have a Thrift Store in Woodstock but we do operate a Thrift Store in Norwich. See our LOCATION page here for the Norwich store info and hours.
Did you know? That all income earned in our Thrift Stores across Canada is used to support the local work of The Salvation Army. This includes providing emergency vouchers for the clothing and household needs of individuals and families in crisis.
Donate Christmas Gifts/Toys
Starting this year (2024), we are pleased to be partnering with The Christmas Place to collect and provide gifts for children.
Donations of gifts/toys will be gratefully accepted at Huron Park Baptist Church between November 25th and Decmeber 9th, 2024 (Monday-Friday 10am-4pm).
We will also ensure that any gifts/toys received by The Salvation Army during the Christmas season will be forwarded to The Christmas Place.
Donate Your Time
It takes an Army of volunteers to provide the programs and services that we operate all year round. Visit our VOLUNTEER page here to find out what volunteer opportunities we currently have available in Woodstock.
